two stainless steel electrodes make gentle contact with your plant’s stem or leaves. they measure bioelectric impedance — the plant’s internal resistance to a tiny oscillating signal.

this isn’t a soil sensor pretending to make music. it’s a direct reading of your plant’s electrical state.

an NE555 timer circuit generates a precision oscillating signal. the plant’s impedance modulates it. an ESP32-S3 with 16MB flash and 8MB PSRAM samples the result and maps it to MIDI parameters: pitch, velocity, modulation, timing.
